“Walk-in” Clinic

Sick children who are already our patients (not first time) will be seen on a first-come, first served basis.  Please note, our Walk-In Clinic is for established patients with new-onset illness symptoms.  If your child is experiencing a more chronic problem or needs a physical or sports clearance, please call the office to schedule an appointment with one of our providers.  If there is a prolonged wait or the clinic is full, we'll schedule an appointment to see your child later in the day.

We have resumed walk-in after being suspended for a period of time.  We ask that you now please text your CHILD'S NAME and WALK IN to 616-260-1709 and WAIT IN YOUR CAR for further instructions.

Monday, Wednesday,  Thursday and Friday:  7:30 am - 9:00 am

Tuesday:  9:15 am - 10:30 am

After Hours Phone Calls

Non-emergency

Calls after office hours are for urgent or emergencies only—any need or problem that cannot wait until normal office hours. After hours calls are answered 24 hours a day, every day of the year. A nurse will return your call as quickly as possible. If you do not receive a call back within the hour, please call again.

One of our pediatricians is always on call. If the nurse feels your child needs to go to the emergency room, he/she will talk to our pediatrician on call.

Note: We do not call in prescriptions for antibiotics without seeing your child first.

Emergencies

For a life-threatening illness or injury call 911 or take your child to the nearest emergency room. In all other instances, call our office so we can assist you. If you are not sure whether a visit to the emergency room is appropriate, please call the office and a nurse will help you determine the appropriate place for treatment.

If you have any doubt about the severity of the situation or if you are unable to reach our office, go directly to the emergency room at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus or if you are out of town, go to the emergency room nearest you.
